TWIST OF FATE
A GALA FOR THE WRITERS GUILD INITIATIVE
When discussing the concept for The Writers Guild Initiative (WGI) annual Gala, volatility and doom around the world loomed large. This is where black humor can be useful – no one wants to attend a weep fest! So to illustrate the event’s title, Twist of Fate, we brainstormed not just doom, but positive and fun scenarios too. A mix of print and digital assets for their website, e-blasts, event presentations, and venue signage were provided.
WGI makes the art of storytelling accessible to people of all ethnic, cultural, and economic backgrounds – with special attention to the underserved. The annual Gala features an all star reading of selected shorts by participants from WGI's writing workshops.
